Default Why does my site show from one server and not another?

Hi All
My site makes use of a shared secure server which only my application forms use but really the whole site is accessible on. I altered my links to path to http://www/ukmortgagehelpline.co.uk so people would not be on the secure server for any other part of the site. I made a little mistake though and missed a few links on the strap at the bottom of my application form pages which meant SE were able to crawl my site on the secure server. Now then, I have never been able to get my site on google for 'UK Mortgage Helpline' or 'mortgage helpline' before until the secure site server was added and now I am No2 on Google UK and no4 on Google.com. See here http://www/google.co.uk/search?hl=en...UK%7CcountryGB

So my question is why has the secure server crawl got results and my domain has not?

Thanks for reading,

Ian Hill

hmmm, that's a good question... secure pages don't normally show up, or atleast not very often in serps.
Wish I had a more definitive answer... it is weird though

by the way, upon entering that url, you get one of those "this page contains both secure and non secure items. you should fix that

Default Very Good Question

Hi mknight0,

I tried to find out more on the subject for you, but could come up with nothing. I guess I have to ask why it makes much of a difference to you if your secure site is in the SERPs and not the unsecure?

I would imagine it would be better if your secure site is. Only downfall I see is no PR, but that doesn't seem to matter much anymore.

no problem,

yes, that error is pretty common and should be fixed
basically what it means, is not everything in that page is under the https (secured).

most commonly it is an image, javascript or code calling an outside file.

Webmaster, I suppose you are right is does not matter.
I do have a pr of 4 on the non secure domain. Maybe it will show on the next update.
