Default site inside search engine for higher rank

Hi all.
This is my first post here, so please excuse me if im asking a question that was asked before.

At one of the last newsletters sent by webproworld, it was written about how important it is to design web pages usable and easy to neviagte in order to get a high Google rank.
I would like to know if adding an inner-site content search option to my site will have any effect on Google site's rank, as it makes the site more easy to nevigate.

I'm assuming you mean the addition of a Site Map to your website, which is certainly a service to your visitors and reckoned to be a definite plus in web design.
However, of itself, it isn't likely to make a whole lot of difference. The more you come to understand -- let alone apply -- the rudiments of SEO, the more you realize that it isn't just one thing, it's a judicious combination of elements that earns you a satisfying web presence and position.
In fact, the consensus is that you need a perfect mix of Good Content and Good Links, none of which you're likely to achieve overnight!

I think I know exactly what your getting at Knicker..

But what they mean by easier to navigate around the site usually means adding more textual links leading to all the other pages...

But let me tell you why I think your idea is also very important...

Not only is it important for us to make our pages easier for the bots that visit and index - it's also important for us to make the site better and easier for the end user also...

So much thought goes into the idea of implementing the major tactics used to gain ranking we often sometimes forget that a robots job is to go to our site and decifer how valuable the page is as a whole.

I imagine that the more useful features they find; like search and navigation as well as multiple file types and available information, images, and documents, should play a major role in why an engine might want to show our pages....

After all - they should be examining everything we have to offer.... So lets offer up as much as we can....

So I believe the answer to your question about adding a search feature to your website is:

Yes....
if you think it makes the site "better" - than be sure and add it...
