Default page name affecting rank

hello, i recently change one of my pages on my site to optimise it for the term "sheds lincolnshire" one of the things i done was changed the page name from
/sheds to /shedslincolnshire as one of my competitors seemed to do very well by haveing the words sheds and lincolnshire in his page name. before doing this my home page www.hallgate-timber.co.uk ranked 3rd for this term on google about two days after changing the internal page address to /shedslincolnshire the homepage droped to 19th position on goolge. Any ideas why and is it something that is likely to change drastically as google reindexes. There are hardly any inbound links to the old internal page so i dont think that is the reason. any advice appreciated. thanks mark.

A page with name changed is a new page to google. A new page has PR0. So it will not ranked as well as your old page.

You may need to redirect the old page to the new page.

Your page may be ranked better automatically as times evolves.
