Default Moving my site

My site was originally at www.nokia-unlockia.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

However my ISP didnt like that fact that it was for commerical use and made me take the site down and said i couldnt use automatic forwarding but just place a link to the site as you can see if you check it out.

At the time i was ranked 3-10 for various keywords and pharses for my search terms and getting 400 hits a day

I decided a good strategy for attracting the same level of ranking in the SERPS was to put a simple page up with just a link to the new site which is at www.nokia-unlock-codes.co.uk. but made a change in the META tags so that it now has noindex, follow there so the original page drops from the SERPS...

Ive done the majority of link exchanging that the old site had with the new address instead (ive even improved my anchor text on many of them and changed nothing on the site other than these.

Currently (although these changes were done just a few days ago. The original page is sitting in the top 30 in the SERPS and the new one is nowhere to be seen.

Is my strategy going to be good enough to lift the new site up to the high ranking i used to enjoy or should i be doing something else. Also what kind of timesacle can i expect for the Google to start ranking my new address properly.

Thanks

This is what you need to do: redirect each one of your old pages to the corresponding new pages.

The google guidelines can be found here:

I suppose you should use 301 redirect.

Believe it or not I have more than 1 client I can't budge out of hosting solution position that doesn't even provide stats! - Try dealing with that!

Why do they not want to budge? If it's the price, I know there are great plenty of options out there, including the service I'm on: A Small Orange Service, Price, and especially support is awesome.

We could get into in more depth but one is a power struggle between a husband and wife owner team for a multi-million dollar company. It sure isn't the fact that it may cost them about the same for hosting, or even the 3-4 hrs it may take me to ftp a 100+ page site, delete orphaned files, repoint DNS servers and build new e-mail addresses! They are after all, on a maintenance contract!

Ain't it fun!

LOL
