Hi Janeth
http://www.geeksonsteroids.com

i have been keeping an eye on your website especially the main page and i notice that you are very dynamic - in the sense you always seem to change your front page.

1. how does this changing really Impact the SERPs and PR?

2. how about other tricks - maybe you can discuss here - like the arrow/square box trick

It would probably draw attention to the listing, make it stand out from the rest.
can you explain the eyeball attention effect?

We also try to add two new pages everyday. We are trying to catch rlrouse

well we definitely cannot put in two new pages a day but we are trying to add least 1 page week.

what do you think about having 3/4 versions of the homepage - would that be a good strategy for GoogleBot to visit us more often.
For example - first week - Version 1 and second week - Version 2 and at end of the month restart with Version 1- with a very slight amendment and then cycle goes on.

I have herd everything about the Google bot coming around.

I herd that if you change your title often he will come around.

I herd if you change your text

and I also herd all you have to do is have a pr5 page.

It is hard to say what will work or what will not work. What we do is try and fine tune the pages for the customers.

We try and add new information change the wording around we have droped 1,500 words of text from our home page today.

That was done for our customers. I think if you work on the site for your customers and work on the links for traffic then Google will do the rest on there on.

I change my home page several times a month, not for search engine purposes per se, but rather to keep the content fresh for my returning visitors and to feature new articles and other content.

My experience has been that you can more effectively keep your visitors coming back if you vary the content. I don't "recycle" two or three versions of my homepage, I actually change it. But I'm very careful to try to keep the keyword density for my main homepage keywords pretty constant to preserve my rankings. (And yes, changing the page content of the homepage does tend to keep Googlebot interested in your site). It visits my site virtually every day.

I hope this helps.

Changing content does not help you rank any better or higher. Changing content means the Googlebot comes by more often if your PR is high enough to index the fresh content.

A number of people seem to wrongly equate a more frequent visit from Googlebot with getting a better ranking.

Yes I agree 100%

I would make the changes for the people coming to the site and for no other reason.
