multiple domains

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding top domain names. I am running a website (www.sycharter.com). We also registred www.sycharter.se (Sweden) for the Swedish market. Many companies in Sweden want to use .se to create a better image of the company, since before there was only registred companies of a certain type that was allowed to register the .se domain. Now however that is just an image issue, and somewhat easier to remember the adress for people.
I did not yet register the .se domain in any searchengines yet. With the .se domain I can either do a forward or a redirect to the actual page (www.sycharter.com/swedish)

So my question is: Which adress should I register with the SE? The www.sycharter.se or www.sycharter.com/swedish or both?

Redirection won't help. It may create problem with google. One of my main URL rank dropped because of redirection.

Use the old site for search engines and get back links for that site only. So .com is a goog choice.

Hej Mats,
I hope you want .com site for international visitor and .se for local visitor, right?.

I would promote .com and get bcak link to that and get good position in Google for that. Same content in both site also not good...

I would use .se for local SE and for local promotin in Sweden (as you know lots in Sweden).
BTW, you site is nice...with pic of stockholm
