linking to secondary pages?

Hello everyone,

Case scenario.

I am about to get a page for myself on someone's website, where i intend to place links to about 3 websites I have. At this point I have the following options:

1) Place one link towards the index of each sites

2) Place one link towards the index and a couple ones towards a few secondary pages (which are linked from index btw.)

I wonder what would be best out of these two. My guess is that the second option will be worse because the PR passed to the index will be smaller due to PR splitting amongst more links on the page. Any thoughts would be appreciated... just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing with this one.
