Default SEO based on performance

Is there any companies that off to put you in the "TOP 10" and only get paid on performance, due to the real difficulty of this I am sure all these companies promising TOP 10 are not performing all that well.....

I would not mind paying on performace....

Richard.

I can not promise to get you in the top 10, but my company only charges for SEO if it works, after it works. www.seohouston.com

I actually helped people for free to get their sites in the top positions just as a hobby. Then it hit me one day, I can actually make money doing this.

It just surprises me how many people claim to do SEO, but then never anything on the site. They just buy sponsored links and submit the site

I can promise you a top 10 easy. How much are you willing to give me?

BTW - it will only be for the most obscure terms that no one actually searches for, but you will be in the top 10 :-)

If you buy some good links you do not even need to submit the site.

I would put good anchor text up against On Site Optimization anyday. (-;

I have done things where i get paid extra if the site is in the top 1 or 2

but its sort of pain in the ass

like this one guys site goes from 2 to 3 every time I refresh

I pretty much always gaurentee top 10 placements when I optimize someones site

I mean unless its a huge term , the only way the site will be real succesful if its top 10 for something

I have adsense on one of my site and get lots of seo compnay ads

If you want to seo con artist just click on some seo related adwords ads

Here just type "search engine optimization" and start click the adwords

here I will do a couple for you (at 2-3 dollars click cost to my compettion I find this hella fun!)

here we go

Quote:

We research the best keyword phrases to get your website highest rank and maximum traffic

Through our unique relationship with the search engines, we position your website on 4 to 7 of these keyword phrases

3 to 5 business days later, your website will appear in at least Top 3 (and in some cases first) position on EACH of the major search engines in the syndicated networks (on Google Adwords you'll be First Page).

We monitor your website thereafter through the term of the agreement to ensure that you remain in top position
I'm not sure how this works? can you figure it out?

Here is another one, sound simliar

Quote:
What we do
Tell us where you would like to be on the Internet. We do the rest.
We research the best keyword phrases to get your website maximum traffic under our plans
Through our unique relationship with the search engines, we submit 6 to 10 of these keyword phrases
3 to 5 business days later, your website will appear in at least top 3 (and in some cases first) position on EACH of the major search engines including Yahoo, Netscape, Excite, Lycos, Go, CNN, Infospace, Metacrawler, Dogpile, and more; or on the Google group first page on Google, AOL, Earthlink, Sympatico, and Ask Jeeves!
We monitor your website thereafter through the term of the agreement (which begins when your website appears in Top position, not on the date of order) to ensure that you remain in top position
ORDER NOW!

the probelem I would have with pay by performance

is that most of the work could be done in the first 3 monthes , then your rankings might take 5-6 monthes and any time after that first 3 monthes

some could just say, rip me me off

deceide that they arn't going to pay

Default Pay Me When It Works

SEO is a business where the service doesn't always help the client as much as we would hope, therefore I don't feel right charging money up front. I am rather new at this and don't claim to know everything. I have had some success. My clients are all local. In the cases where my efforts produced good results, I have always been paid.

If I get 10 extra clients because I do not charge money up front, and 3 rip me off, I am ahead by 7.

Hi Jacob,

I see nothing qrong with what your doing. But you will find that some words take a lot of time like website design, search engine optimization or web hosting.

You will not get ranked for words like these with on site optimization.

Default My Reply

I have been doing SEO since June. I obviously don't get phone calls from national websites asking me to do their optimization. My clients are local Houston merchants who want to be listed first, second or third under the product type + Houston. They have a store here, or provide a service here, and need customers here. For example, a Chinese restaurant, a home builder, or a hair salon.

There are zillions of these local Houston merchants. I will leave the national sites to those of you with more SEO experience.

Default interesting business model...

Good for you jacob!

I personally charge up front, but I can appreciate your approach. Stick with the local merchants if things are working out for you.

I agree 100% Janeth, and I should of been clearer. The sponsored links I was referring to are the paid listing in yahoo and google. And when the money is gone the links are gone.
