Default ranking moved from 10 to 194 since 6 month

Our company have a few websites, among them plushtoys4you.com which is targeted for "plush toy manufacturer". We used to be on first page until february 04, after that we have not even made it to the top 100. PR4 have remained over the period. I have tried some link exchange but, not using any link farms. All my pages link to eachother, as I understand I benefit little only from this.

After 3 years I am still in que for DMOZ directory?

I still rank good on MSN, Yahoo, etc

Anyone having a clue what is happening?

Regards Nick

Well I wonder whats happening with google. I'm facing the same problems for quite some months. But I'm able to get back my sites to top 3 pages. Once its even disappeared from google for a month.

I guess the algorythm keeps changing and they are more concentrating on the target keywords and the formulation.

Maybe because the site is part of a group and the main group site is already listed.

Crosslinking between all those sites on the same P address is probably the problem.

Thanks cpb, you are confirming my own theories.

We have one webpage listed with MDOZ already, and all other pages remain on same server and IP. Any clue in how to get around this?

Crosslinking:
However, I really want to keep these pages linked to each other. Do you think I would be better of by linking them indirectly, i.e. 1>2, 2>3, and 3>1, instead of direct links. Would it help if they had different IP's?

Regards Nick

You are very unlikely to get around it as they are all the same company and all the sites are linked of the main page of the "parent" site. Paraphrased, the DMOZ guidelines are something like: 0ne company = one site = one listing, unless an editor decides the content is outstanding and unique.

Theoretically it might.

Default DMOZ said IP doesn't matter

DMOZ said same IP no does not matter. However they confirmed what you said about one company one website. As we are actually 3 companies trying to make things simple, we will concider breaking them apart. Though, I will anyway provide them different IP's. Thanks for the tip they should not link to each other as well.

Any other suggestion much appreciated as I REALLY want all 3 pages to be in DMOZ directory

Default why am I so poorly ranked?

Hi,

I used to be top 10 but are since 8 month +100, last time actually 194? I think my webpage is right on the target and there are not many competitors out there except for business directories.

My webpage is www.plushtoys4you.com and my primary keyword target is "plush toy manufacturers"

Thanks for any contribution / Nick
