Drop in SERP and drop in traffic, asking for ideas

Hi,

My main website (Guinea Pigs World) had been enjoying a page one listing in Google for a long time. It had been moving up and down, between around position 4-10 on search term guinea pigs.

Now however, it is on page 2 (current pos. 2). I know the results change all the time but I have been there for a few days now. This has obviously lead to a drop in visitors. I am asking for help! If anyone has any ideas as to why my page may have dropped in rankings it would be much appreciated.

I have recently been trying to get targeted backlinks and have made a few subtle changes to my site. I still have meta redirects in place (feeding.html to feeding.asp) - I'm on a Windows server.
