Default What I See

My backlinks seem to have increased (76-101). I have also noticed that the number of indexed pages for my site seems to be fluctuating lately.

So for some reason Google’s index seems to be churning. Maybe a PR will happen.

I also think that the PR meter may be removed from the Google toolbar in the future.

I think it would make people concentrate on writing content for people and not just googlebot.

OK. I'm confused. Who's gonna check web sites with bad content more then once, unless it's totally just images? I was under the concept that your site won't rank high, or even for long, if it's contentless or content poor?!

Its easy to rank well with content poor sites. All you need is a few keywords in the right place and lots of links to the site with the keywords in the anchor text. A dumb computer bot can not tell wha is good content.

Good content and lots of it only realy helps in two ways:
1. More words with more keywords next to them means your site may show up for some of the phrases used in the content, rather than just the keyword
2. Lots of good content, means its easier to get links and into directories (ie more PR and more anchor text links)

"Generally", the "content" does not necessarily "directly" affect rankings but "indirectly" by the above, especially getting links easier.

That's truly sad! I look forward to the day when the search engines figure out how to get around that! Personally, I am one of those freaky people who usually go immediately to the 4th to 10th page of a search result page, when I'm not looking to buy something from a specific place.
