Google - the Next Phone Book

I certainly hope I'm not the only one questioning why "phone books" and "phone book" style sites are starting to dominate top listings for many local search terms!

Talk about nobrainer, dynamic, cookie cutter, non-content websites... I've seen a recent Google algorithmn shift kill a few regional sites I'm familiar with and favor this "phone book" stuff.

I'd like to see them come out with Poogle (the Google phone book) and get these darn things out of the natural search results!
