#1 for Dallas Legal Advisors
#33 for Legal Advisors

since you have legaladvisors as a domain name ,part of the title and first in your keywords you shouldn't have much trouble moving higher than #33.

I have a few suggestions though.
1. Make Dallas Legal Advisors first in your meta description.

2. Make Dallas Legal Advisors The first test before where it reads "John H. Carney & Associates, Dallas based Lawyers and Attorneys, developed LegalAdvisors as a comprehensive legal information site for the state of Texas,"

If you are going to want both Dallas Legal Advisors and Legal Advisors then don't allow your site to start to veer away from the keyword phrases you were fighting to have. go all out.

These 2 things alone will boost you higher than #33
Then of course as CBP said, get more backlinks.

You pretty much have this one in the bag. Great job by the way.

This also very good advice. Anchor text might rule today, but we do not know about tomorrow.

It's all about what is valid now. I was the queen of internet submitting back in the day...
Which makes me feel old, but I was a kid back then :)

Back then you were encouraged to submit every indiv page on a site too, index.html page1.html and so on.

Gee, wonder why they changed things?
Google wasn't even born back then. Aww... My favorite search engine died since then too.

thank you everyone for taking the time to look at it and give me suggestions, I feel like such a newbie since i've not done any of this stuff in years and years. Working on my NT skills (yuck) and *nix..soo..

- I have a picture now. Yayness! :)

Because search engine robots are much more efficient than human editors at finding, indexing, and ranking billions of web pages in a short period of time (no slight to our Directory editor friends intended).

Here are a few SEO tips I've learned through the years. Hope they help.

1. Your title should have related keywords in it.

2. Your Meta Keywords should be related to the content of the page. Don't keyword stuff.

3. Your Meta Description should also be related to the content of the page.

4. It is important to use descriptive anchor text. Use "Legal Advise" not "click here" for links.

5. Use some bold and italized text helps.

6. Try to use some body copy keyword density and prominence. Always try to use the keyword first in the sentence and do not keyword stuff. You marketing copy should be written for your customer not Search Engines.

7. The most important is to build links. Get listed in directories and try to get other sites to link to your site. Use keword related links like "legal advisors" or something in that nature. Try not to use your domain name as the link. And stay away from "click here" type links.
