Moving server

I'm (www.coffeeroyale.com) now forced to change my server from OneandOne.co.uk to a different, UK based company because 1&1 is based in Germany and Google won't list me on UK pages.
I'm a novice.
Would anyone be able to help with:-

a) Suggesting a new host/package that would cater for my site
b) A step-by-step guide to what I have to do to change once I have decided on a new host.

More importantly, IMO you need to have a .co.uk domain

1. Once you decide on your new host, they will usually take care of transferring the domain to the new IP -- as long as you're not changing the domain name or filenames, your current SE rankings shouldn't suffer.

2. Listing in regional SE listings seems to be accomplished EITHER by having a domain name for that region (.co.uk, .ca. .com.au, etc.) OR by hosting your site in the region. I am asociated with two sites that both rank well in the .ca listings: one is a .com with a Canadian host; the other is a .ca hosted in the US.
