Default <h1> Tags....

I have heard that Google puts some importance on <h1>, <h2>, etc....

Assuming this to be true, does it effect the tag effectivness if you have font attributes inside of the <h?> tag?

Such as stipulating a different font color or size, with in the header tag?

I prefer to style my <H1> tags with external CSS. I also keep the size about the same, just change the font style.

As far as I have found, there is minimal effect if any for styling your header tags. Just dont be putting entire paragrphs in header tags, this could lead to problems. I would also use an external css file to style your tags.

Thanks guys. I probably should go back in and redo it the correct way anyway with the CSS, I was just trying to shortcut the process.
