You should remove all links that are of no use to the visitors to your site.

There are two things to consider:

1 - Are the links to spammy sites that are penalized or in danger of being penalized?

2 - Are the links to resources that are useful to your visitors? (And I'm not talking about relevence).

I don't see anything particularly wrong or risky with the links you have right now. You just need to vet any additional submissions.
At the same time, though, I think you could usefully make the existence of your links page more evident. "Add you URL free" means something to webmasters, but it doesn't really connect with the browsing public. Something like "Useful local links" would make more sense -- and any webmaster worth his/her salt will know that they could add to the page if they were so inclined.

Default re: links page

Thank you all for the input.
After looking at my own site for too long, I'm sort of blind to all the little things that need to be changed and its good to have the advice.
Duncan, that suggestion really makes sense.
I'll change it tonight.

"Add you URL free" means something to webmasters,
It also has the potential of sending a "poor quality signal" to Google.

We are supposed to be linking to a site as its of use to the visitor. I leave off anything remotely close to being interpreted as exchanging or adding links for anything ther than of being value to the visitor.
