Default Google not indexing my site?

A while back I asked about a message board of mine being indexed in Google. People here looked at it and said that couldn't figure out why it wasn't being indexed, but it should be in the next few months.

Well, about that time I redesigned the site. And the only thing that seems to be indexed is the home page. All the other pages have a 0 PR.

The web site is http://www.gracecentered.com

Thanks!

Lee

You have 276 pages indexed in google.

PR will take a few updates to be transfered to the other pages. Updates are every 4 - 6 weeks.

Use the search site:www.yoursite.com to find the number of pages indexed in google.

You have 275 pages indexed in Google, take a look here.

You have problems with the PR0 because you're improperly redirecting www.gcmagazine.net to www.gracecentered.com. That's a big no-no!

You should have a 301 Permanent Redirect from the .net to the .com site.

Your site won't pass and PR from the home page along to the other pages on the site because you're using the wrong type of redirect. Until that's fixed, Google will continue to have a problem with your site.

What is a 301 Permanent Redirect? How do I do this? Please speak to me as though I am a fourth grader so I can understand.

:-)

Default 301 Redirect

It is fairly easy to do. I'm not sure the average fourth-grader can do it; the instructions can only be as simple at the topic.

Here is a google search for 301 redirect tutorial.

You can also do a search here and find some previous discussions about it. Here are some highlights (there are several more):

Good luck.

I see that you fixed the www.gcmagazine.net page, but in the meantime while the engines are updating, I would add a text link (with your best keyword in it) linking to you primary website, www.gracecentered.com
