Advanced Web Reporting

Who here is using Advanced Web Reporting? It's a relatively new program that does what WebPosition Gold does, basically tracks your ranking in the various sites for each keyword, and reports it to you. I really like the program, mainly because it's far more innovative than WPG, which is clunky, not updated often, and sadly -- made by one of the spammiest companies I've ever done business with. Best of all, AWR runs on Mac, Windows and even Linux/Solaris. I am a Mac user and not being able to run software on my own machine was not fun.

I also like the "cave pantings" the program creates, letting you see a graph of how your Google or other rankings have done over the past six months. It really looks funny after a while ^_^

there wasn't fine print on googles page at http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html when they said don't use these types of programs to query results,positioning,etc..

As google has it stated here.......

Quality Guidelines - Basic principles:
Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our terms of service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.

You might try http://www.googlerankings.com and some other sites that tell your ranking.

If you are dissatisfied with Mac then you might think about getting a windows computer
