I fear worse, just because of the countless examples of the tech stock crash in the early 00's. I hope for the best becuase I have always liked the way Google has done business.

By the way...when can I sign up for my Gmail account!? I have been waiting so long...I was hoping IPO day would be the day...but no...I was hoping today...but no...when???

Sorry for the rant, but 1 GB of free e-mail space is so appealing. Sorry Yahoo, 100 MB not enough.

Rich

I'm curious, 100 mb is not enough? If the average email is 20k that translates into 5000 emails.

If you are actually reading 5000 mails a day I'd be impressed. If the 100mb is insufficiect because you are using the service to cumulatively store important messages, I would consider that foolish to rely on a third part free service to store my important correspondence.

Even if you receive attactments regularly, you shoud transfer them to your local machine if they are important.

I like to keep records of everything...so I save all my e-mail...sent and receieved. I haven't filled up my 100mb yet, but at the rate I'm going it will be filled by the end of this year.

Rich

P.S. I'm a college student too, so I do not understand anything but FREE. :P

The market is indeed sick, which is why Google had to lower the offering price. The markets need some excitement to get things going, so Google could help a bit here.

BUT, Google alone can't revive the markets and most all stocks perform poorly in bad market environments, so as the market goes, so will Google -- over the next few weeks I'd guess that to be dull and down.

By the way... in this market, how would you like to own a few thousand shares of Google at $100 if it warns of or reports any disappointing numbers?

Come on.
At $85.00 per share Google's cap is equal to General Motors.
Who believes that Google is worth as much as GM?
