Default Dmoz listing

Hi,

I am working on a debt consolidation site and I need to register my site to dmoz.

The mistake I did was I submitted my site on 9 aug 2003 to Business/Financial_Services/Financial_Planning/Debt_Consolidation/Debt_Settlement
and at that time my site was not complete, it had only 10 pages. So obviously
they rejected my site.

Now I want to get listed in
Business/Financial_Services/Financial_Planning/Debt_Consolidation.

The problem is they do not have a submit site option in this category.
Help me to get listed under debt consolidation. I think my site is perfect for this
category. Also have a look at my site and tell me whether i will get a listing or not.
If no then please tell me what exactly I lack.

Please advise me the next step.

Thanks
Denny

Default DMOZ

Hi, Denny:

First, if you've only been waiting since August 9, that's not a long time for DMOZ lately in some categories.

As for the absence of a "Submit" option in the new category, do you see an "Update URL" option at the top of the page? If so, I think that means you're already listed somewhere in DMOZ although the editor may have moved you to a different category that s/he thought was more appropriate.

Try searching for your site on DMOZ. If you don't find it, you may need to email the editor of the previous site you submitted to and ask for a change of category.

If you search WebProWorld for "DMOZ" or "ODP" or "DMOZ/ODP", you'll find other threads with information on how to inquire about your listing or lack thereof.

Okay, that's not it - I just checked and you're right - you're not listed in DMOZ if I do a directory-wide search.

At the bottom of the new category, you'll see the editor identified as bones, with a link to another page. Clicking on the bones link takes you to another page where you'll find this: "Email: Send to bones". Click there and send an email to the editor and ask him/her how to proceed.

Default I have checked resource zone

thanks minstrel and softwaresubmit,

I am member of resource zone for some time. I have asked the question, they says my site is a lead generator so cannt get a listing.

Just have a look on my site and suggest me what can I do to get a listing in dmoz. My site was rejected on 16 sug 2003.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Denny

Based on a quick look, I can't see any hidden links or tricks so I'm not sure why they disqualified you.

I wonder what "lead generator" means... this page looks to me like someone offering a service and explaining what that service is and what it costs.
