Default Sandbox effect

The site Boeafitness.com quite possibly fell into the sandbox.

This conclusion brought to attention when pages that where directory listings with the site in them came up higher then the site itself.

Search for workout routines then go to result page 6. You will notice that "Boeafitness.com - Workout routines Rate a Resource" comes up on that page.

That page goes to this url "all-linksite.com/cgi-bin/links/rate.cgi?ID=16800"

But the site www.boeafitness.com comes up on page 7.

How could that be when it's less relevant I find that strange.

Even when you check allintext: allinurl: allintitle:

www.boeafitness.com comes up on the first page of results.

So why isn't it reflecting in the results that are displayed.

Maybe when there is another big database update there will be a increase in rankings.

Or is this a result of the sandbox because sites that are not relevant to that term are coming up higher in the search results.

And Boeafitness.com is a lot more relevant.

Another thing is the backlinks that are shown using google it only displays 10 of them.

And Boeafitness.com has about 240 backlinks total.

But maybe google is trying to fix it's algorithm or maybe it's this sandbox thing.

I doubt you are sandboxed. You just don't rank very well for that term.

BUT, the most important way Google determines relevance is the anchor text of the\h incoming links - these allin's have nthing to do with that.

You rank number one for boea fitness as this is what most of your anchor text of incoming links say (so you not sandboxed). If you want to be seen as more relevant to workout routines, you need that as your anchor text.

It's ranked number 1 for allinanchor: for workout routines also.

You see Boeafitness was on page 40 then back to 7 it's strange.

I just can't get google anymore there algorithm is crazy.

But yeah the site just got pushed back for no reason and is stuck there.

SERP's for workout routines look ok to me. I would guess each and everyone here could complain that there are pages ranking above our own. I don't think Google has ever claimed to be perfect.

Besides, you home page is far from optimized for the term workout routines.

SERP's for workout routines look ok to me.
------------------------------------------
You think so? You should look once more there all over the place. That being page rank 0's are out ranking pages that are optimized.

-------------------------------------------
Yeah I realize this but don't get me wrong I'm not trying to complain. And I know google never claimed to be perfect because if they did they would have to stand by that.

It's just Boeafitness.com was on page 2 with hundreds of backlinks and dropped to 7 and 10 backlings for google.
---------------------------------------------
The site Boeafitness comes up like this in other search engines for workout routines.
------------------------
Search engines
------------------------
looksmart page 1
looksmart co.uk page 1
google co.uk page 1
gigablast page 1
mamma page 1
kanoodle page 1 <---------- extremely relevant results
Excite page 2
wise nut page 2
Yahoo page 2
Msn page 3
Altavista page 4
alltheweb 5
lycos - errors
-----------------------
Directories
-----------------------
Jayde page 1
Zeal page 1
skaffe page 1
--------------------
Google page 7 and dropping <------ very strange

But a search with allintext: allinurl: allintitle: allinanchor: for workout routines boeafitness.com comes up on page 1 for the results every time.

The site was on page 2 with hundreds of backlings to now page 7 and dropping it's pointless.
----------------------------------
I kinda agree with the one explanation about if you add to many links pointed at your domain in a short amount of time the sandbox effect can happen.

This is because google is trying to get rid of seo's who purchase links to get higher rankings.
------------------------------------

I had to ask the seo's in seo chat the same thing.

So whatever is happening it's very strage.

PR is is only one of many factors used to rank pages. Also, it is now widely believed to be only a small part. In addition, page ranks move/up down a few weeks before PR does.

Besides all this, each page that is on page 1,2 etc is relevant to the term "Workout Routines". If I was searching using this term, I would be happy with the SERP's.

The page you mention is honestly not optimized for the term "Workout Routines".

If I rank near the top for allinurl:<insert keyword here> does that mean during the next google dance there is a decent chance I'll have a good standing in the google SERPS? I'm near the end of the sandbox (I think)?

The page you mention is honestly not optimized for the term "Workout Routines".
--------------------------------------
Is there any suggestion on how to further optimize the page.

If so you can list them if they will increase the rankings.

Thanks

Lot's more links from other pages using the anchor text "Workout Routines". No, your forum signature is not going to help with Google ranking.

Re-do your page Title and have the term "Workout Routines" as the first words. Don't waste the Title characters with your domain name. Try something like;

Workout Routines for Fitness and Health. Try our Work-out Routines for Weightloss.

A h1 heading along the same lines as the Title.
