Default Will the real Google Update please stand up?

Was this really a full blown up date? I only noticed very minor changes in SERPs and no PR updates.

Plus isn't PR supposed to be updated before the SERPs?

Obviously the link: command has been changed

How about you guys? What have you noticed about your SERPs and PR?

Google update on a continuous basis and have no more real updates. There was some movement in the search results a week ago (possibly due to factoring in new backinks and PR internally) - what happened a couple of days ago was their was a change in the composition of the sites in the publically available backlink sample - thats not an update. There also seems to be something screwy going on with the toolbar PR meter for some sites (they dropped to 0 for no apparent reason) - not sure what is happening there, but lets wait and see.

Default completely agree with cbp

I completely agree with you cbp. Incidently, if anyone has a tangible example of one of these sites that dropped from a high PR to a PR 0, please share the URL.

I've heard a lot of hearsay about that, but nobody has been able to present me with an actual example.

I have seen posts in forums of several sites that have gone from PR6 or 7 to 0 for no reason - I looked at most of them and they had - I just don't recall the URL's, except CJ's: http://www.cj.com/

Default Interesting, but notice how their SERP's position is o.k.

It's interesting to note that though their PR dropped to zero, they still rank moderately well from some tough keyphrases

affiliate programs (top 20-25 in Google)
online marketing (top 50 or so)

My guess is that those sites that suffered mysterious drops in visible PR will regain their high status after 1 or 2 PR updates.

Google rolled back their BL's.

Check yours too. Mine are back to the way they were as if the "update" never happened.

It's either Google or PRGooglebar at fault:

In I.E PR = 0
In Mozilla PR = 7..

Oh-hum...

Mine have stayed the same.... I had 21 before the update, now I've 90, and stayed there. Half of them are crap though.

Weird

One client's is staying at 0 from 14, yet maintaining PR3, with hihg Serps for 2 word phrases - I haven't checked a single Site that rolled back.

I can't figure this one out except to think that they are hiding more links.

Do a regular GOOGLE search on your company name and URL, if you want to see links.
