My 3 month old site's URL has been replaced on Google by that of a site that was linking to me.
If you type in www.silvereden.com in Google search the URL of this re-directed link from a directory has replaced it.The cache of my site home page has also been assigned to it. My correct home page is still in Google's list. The link has since been dropped but is still coming up on searches for my key words. When it is clicked on it goes to an error page on their site. What I would like to know is- Will my correct homepage URL be assigned by Google in their normal updates? Do I have to do anything else to make sure this is not an ongoing problem?(I have notified Google) Any help really appreciated Robbo |

If I understand correctly, when you search for the following phrase on google, instead of your website, the sites linking to you are being shown first:
Silver Jewelry Gifts for Her Oriental Hilltribe Handmade here are the search results Right? The problem is not with google ... The linking sites optimised thier pages for your keywords better than you did. Here is what you can do: 1. Review SEO done for your website. Onething that might help is right "internal anchor text links" 2. Request the page that links to you to correct the error. You still get more hits. 3. Wait. 'Cause you are only 3months old ... you might still be in "Google SandBox" Good Luck |
