I want to get in good with Google, but I'm using "frames" on my site. My understanding is that Google doesn't use meta tags as much as other search engines, instead google goes after the text on your pages.
Spiders can't make it through "frames" on a site, that is my understanding. Look on my home page @ the top, I have two "Home" links. Click one! www.policecrime.com I hope Google doesn't consider that "spamming" key words? Sure there might be alot of key words on the page, but there sortof with "stories." Also on the bottom of the first Home "link" page, I have yet another link that follows to "stories" and "key words." I'm hoping this isn't a "No-No" to google? Yet if I didn't have a "frame" site, more than 3/4's of the page would be scanned by Googles spiders, if it was on my home page anyways. |

Frames are generally not a good idea. The spiders look at the soucre rather than the page so look at the source of the page in the browser - if it doesn't contain keywords because it is in another framed page then the SE's won't be able to see it either. Hope this helps.

They are getting better with frames, but there are still a lot of problems. You have a much better chance of ranking better without frames. Also, they cannot read information within an iframe.
