How to achieve top rank @ google region search?sg.google.com

Hi everyone.

I posted a similar question at YAHOO forum, hope this does not offend anyone cos its quite similar but pertaining to google instead.

I'm currently residing in Singapore and so is my personal training business, I'd like to find out about the ranking for region search in google.

Ok, i know that we can 'compete' to get high ranking at www.google.com, but if I want to concentrate and get top ranking in the Singapore search only (www.google.com.sg), how do i do so?

My server is located here in Singapore, but my domain name is a 'dot com', and NOT 'dot com dot sg' - www.guruFITNESS.com

I have another website (clubFITT.com) and it is not listed when I do a 'personal trainer' or any other search at www.google.com.sg. Is it because my site is a dotCOM and not a dotCOMdotSG?

At sg.yahoo.com, I got a high rank. I'm unsure how to go about having a good ranking at the regional search of www.google.com.sg

What are the things that I can improve to get a high ranking here? Is it the same as the global search?

Please excuse me if a question like this have been posted before, if there is, do let me know the thread so that i can read from there :)

That server is located in San Francisco. So is the clubfitt.com site.

Oh man.. now I know that..thanks for that info.. anywayz, does anyone know how I can improve my PR or ranking in Singapore regional site, even though its in SanFrancisco?
