I've been live now for three months and are receiving 60-60 unique hits per day but cannot find my company name without doing an exact name search, can anyone offer any ideas

Does Google SUX or does your site rank poorly?

I can only find one link to your site --> your ranking SUX because Google does not see your site as important (ie its only PR1)

Hey dave, check this out

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=go...upport.general

it's the google groups for google type things. You can post your question there too and see what they may think and review the suggestions people give for higher rankings But so far I've gotten better results here in webproworld, because, well, they are awesome and have a lot of info on ranking better, optomization, everything.

As for ranking higher, some people feel PR helps. It does, but its weight now-a-days is a hot little topic. Overall, get links. Directories, link exchanges (they CAN'T hurt unless they are Free For All Links or google hates them. Don't link to PR 0 sites unless they are new (PR is a sign of a "bad neighborhood")

Also, remember the anchor text in those links. That'll get you started

Oh, and you got meta tags.. very good start. Also, you probably will not rank well for a while with competive rules because of sandboxing rules with incoming links (search sandbox)

hope that helps.

Google doesn't suck. Spammers suck.

How about anchor text for interior pages?

Most often people don't link to these, only the home page

Also, I do not think it has been proven yet that link exchanges are a bad signal in Google's eyes
