Google is showing local results (http://local.google.com/) on main search results page.
It is already showing Froogle results for products. here is what i found: http://www.google.com/search?num=100...on&btnG=Search The Webmaster / SEO Issues: 1. While targeting niche keywords (using your location) be careful. 2. Make your address clearly visible in a contact page. 3. Get listen in local Yellow Pages and / or Make sure your company is registeed and the correct address is updated in the database of local / national government bodies. 4. For products target froogle. 5. More pages with different locations are going to be dead soon. 6.What r we giong to do when Google cobines Froogle and Local results to find you a store nearer to your home? Any more thoughts? I really don't thing this is much of anything to worry about.
The local results are clearly delineated from the organic search results (as a matter of fact I have never bothered to look at those top of page results 'til now) and suspect that they may be pretty well ignored by consumers. I would far rather have a top five ranking than one of the local listings at the top of the page. Why do you feel that they are going to worrysome, Sudhani? |
