Default Just purchased domain with main keyword in

I'm sure that this question has been asked many times before but I can't seem to find a relevant post.

I've just purchased a domain name with one of our main keywords in (co.uk address). I did'nt really want to do a permanent redirect from our current name (.com) because that also contains one of our main keywords and I would like to keep the .com prefix.

Will I be penalized in anyway if I use web forwarding to point the new name (.co.uk) to my current website? I am currently planning to use a non-framed re-direct using 123-reg.co.uk. I've heard that framed redirects are frowned upon. Is this right?

Hope this makes sense!! :) Any advice would be appricated.

Cheers

Default I think

I think all search engines prefer non framed.

Other than that I'm not really sure what you are asking.

I don't think you will be penalised, there is no reason to be i think. As long as you don't try to trick the search engines you should be ok.

Why did you buy this other domain? To get link popularity and higher pagerank? Because if you are creating another site that links to the original, I think thats what you will be doing.

Default

Hi,
Basically one of the main keywords I'm aiming for is 'eco tours'.

The new domain I've just purchased is "eco-tours.co.uk" and our current address is "ecotourdirectory.com"

I'm not trying to trick the search engines. Just make it easier for people to find our directory. I know that I can't increase pagerank becuase I'm not actually hosting a site at ecotours.co.uk.

Default you should be ok

hi,
I would assume that what your doing is completely fine.

However, just so you know, I think that your main site will not recieve credit for "Eco tours" because the URL is ecotoursdirectory, the search engine may see that as one word.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but im fairly confident that if the words aren't sepereated some how, it is seen as one.
