Default My PR keeps changing

My site had a PR4 for a long time, then suddenly it went to PR5 (this was a while ago).. When I checked again about 2 weeks later, it went back down to PR4 and stayed that way. Two weeks ago, it had a PR5 (again!)... now, it is back to PR4.
Any clues as to why this is happening? I am clueless!

I think you are shifting between a high PR4 and a low PR5. This happen when your PR is between PRs.

Default the matter...

I really don't think this is something to worry about. It seems that people get too caught up in PR. Let it go.

peace...Paul

Thanks... I personally don't like to think about PR ranking... especially since my site keeps climbing in Google... 2 months ago, I could find my site, now it's #7 ... so I guess the PR is, as you say, nothing to be too concerned about.

Thanks again.

It's worth remembering that as funbiz alludes to, your Page Rank is not 4 or 5, this is simply the Google toolbar representation of your page rank. This makes the toolbar page rank change a bit easier to swalow, it simply means that your true page rank is floating around the threshold value to move from a 4 to a 5.

Yes. The difference between a 4 and 5 on the tool bar could be as small as one minor link. The true PR may be 4.999999999 or 5.0000001 with Google only showing a 4 or 5.
