We are always trying to optimize our Web site for ecommerce related keywords, since that's what we do. One keyword phrase that we monitor is "ecommerce software", which is a very competitive keyword. One of the things have been totally puzzling me is a Web site located at "gosmi.net", which has consistently appeared in the top 10 for that keyword phrase.
(1) There is no instance of the keyword phrase "ecommerce software" in the source (2) There is not even an instance of word "ecommerce" in the source (3) Page Rank is 4 (5) It has only 11 back links accordingly to Google. Does anyone have any idea of why a site like that would rank so high? Is it a glitch in the Google algorithm? |

This is a very competitive term, and I really cant give you a good answer on this one. I think Im kind of stumped as well. Using the @ search, it still only comes up 221 results. Not even a nice site... Maybe their using some cloaking system. Their description contains terms that I cant find in the site or the code, so that is what I am guessing.
