Default Advice would be appreciated re Adsense on my site.

Hello

I own 121Bid which is a free auction site.
This site has been operational for approx 12mths and is hosted on its own server.
We do not make any income from members Buying or Selling on the site and it is our intention to keep it this way.
We do not want an income from this site, we just need enough to cover costs.
It is our aim to make enough from adsense to cover hosting and site modifications.
We presently have adsense on the site but it is only making approx $3 per day, any advice on how to further capitalise on our sites adsense would be greatly appreciated.
Approx 1000 Unique visitors per day.

Thank you in advance !
Eddie

I have had some severe problems with Adsense of late. From £100 per month it has fallen to £20 per month. But with the same clicks on the sites.

I have had issues with Adsense for feeds (they haven't really sorted out the front end, IMO) but I think there might be other problems there, too, having thought about it for the last week.

Check the max CPC of your targeted keywords and also try to target more related keywords by making new pages or optimizing your existings pages with keywords having greater CPC rate.

key is finding some relevant keywords with high CPC rates that you can create pages for. if you have low paying keywords your stuck with trying to generate massive amounts of traffic.

The site looks good. Maybe better ad position will help you. The heat map is very useful. have you implement any of it?
