Default Adsense-Remove ALL competitor's ads

Hi, we've just started testing Adsense on a TEST page of our site.
We are a Commercial Printer, and, the ads that are showing up are for -- Other commercial printers.
We don't want to display ads for our competition.

I've been regularly adding the urls to the Competitive Ad Filter but more appear.

Is it possible to block an industry type instead?

I just realized that there is a separate Adsense forum can you move this to it??

Why run Adsense at all if you are going to block the majority of ads?

Your best bet is to run affiliate banners on your pages that you control and move away from running Adsense if you are worried about customers running to the competition.

It's a catch 22 since Adsense is pushing ads that are relevant to your site. Being that you're in an extremely competitive niche, you've got your work cut out for you if you're trying to filter those.

I'd recommend that you lose the Adsense ads and retain some credibility, but that's just me.

Good Luck.

Thank you, I was hoping that I was just not seeing the option to select the type of industry ads to allow among the reams of information, tools, options etc... offered at Adsense.

Thank you for your response.

Also, are you signed up to Google? If so, that will take Google search data and show it as adverts on your site, but only to YOU!

Check your site from a different computer somewhere else. Then see what adverts you might need to block.
