Default AdSense for video

I recently placed a "Video Unit" on one of my webpages to test how effective it might be.

Has anyone been using these video units for AdSense? How effective have they been for you? What size ads are people using (I'm using the middle of the three sizes)?

I don't exactly like the color schemes that YouTube offers, but it's a worthwhile experiment I suppose.

I use the video on this site and it is performing worse than the normal Adsense contextual ads...

Myspace Layout Profile Generators Codes Layouts Free - MySpace Layout Generators Editor My Space Layouts Codes - ProfileGuy.com

It seems to me if people want to watch videos to waste time... they go to Youtube....

Where I would have thought the short attention span videos would have matched my short attention span users I was wrong....

However a lot of Google products are flops or perform poorly so nothing new there and my own dumb fault for falling for their new novelty....

I experienced something similar to SemAdvance, when the novelty first came out. I think it's one of those ideas that looked great on paper in a board room. But when put into action it seems like it doesn't deliver. It would take great consideration on how to implement it well into the page design in order to perform or even be worthwhile. So far though, I've pretty much moved past it as far as monetizing gizmos for any of my sites.

It's a great idea, but poorly implemented. You would think Google would have thought it through a bit more before releasing it.

The videos have no relationship to the niche.
The actual videos they are showing are childish and way to basic. Why would anyone even bother to watch them.
The sizing is wrong.
The link that has to be clicked on is not noticeable, you should be able to click on anywhere on the video.

That said Google have changed all their ads so the only section you can click on now is the actual link itself.
Reports across the boards indicate that doing that has reduced the number of clicks on 90% of sites.

The sizing is wrong and that is just the begining.
