Concentrate on less popular keywords. As you are a newbie, it could be better investing in non-competitive keywords.

Arbitrage huh? You probably wont find much help in getting MFA poop ranking higher here at WPW.

Go and Google your question. There are a good half dozen gurus out there who know what Adwords is all about. See -- and learn from -- what they can tell you.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm a newbie and started using Adwords to get some traffic to my site a couple of weeks ago. Currently, I'm spending about $1.25 a day and have a couple of keywords with a maximum CPC of $.10, I can't seem to find any keywords that will be activated with less than a max CPC of $.10 (through google keyword tool).

What's the fastest way to find a less competitive keyword that I can activate with a low max CPC preferably about $.05

joejoe0905: Sorry, but that isn't the way AdWords works. You need to spend money to get results and there are no quick (and dirty) answers. You gotta -- you just gotta -- take the time and trouble to learn enough about the PPC idea. This is less than spending money and more a case of using your time to sufficiently understand the what, the how, and the why of it all.
As I suggested, give one of the gurus a try. For instance, you could start by reading what several (knowledgable) people think of my choice among them per the page at http://www.devnic.com/articles/perry...ds_review.html

Default You have to pay to play...

If you are in a competitive niche then you are going to have to pay. Competition drives up the keyword prices. At the bid prices your speaking of, your ads will show up very low in the ad placements. Choose a niche that is less competitive or find other ways to generate traffic.

Arbitrage on adwords is costly.

Someone else suggested reading Perry Marshalls stuff. I second that.

He has a book out that is excellent and can be found locally at Barnes and Nobles or online at Amazon for under $20.

Instead of wasting money on just one ppc engine or adwords as you mention.. You can advertise across 30 Major Search Engines for probably less per month than you will be paying now..

Any no that isn't my link.. It's Web.com!

Google Adwords can be very expensive. Adcenter just isn't popular. You can get the best pricing and bids by using Yahoo Search marketing. Turn off local search listings and use Content Match only. Then you only pay about 20% of your actual bid. Meaning that if you bid $0.50 per click, you normally only pay about $0.20..
