Default IP Blocking in Google AdWords

Hi all,

I'm guessing it isn't possible to do this, but thought I would ask anyway - is there a way to block someones IP address from seeing your sponsored links in Google AdWords?

At the moment, 50% of our costs are due to a competitor clicking on the links...

So it would be great if an IP could be blocked??

Thanks

I don't know of any way to do so. However, I must admit that this is a feature that google should add.

Is it a website? You block websites I am sure. Have you emailed Google about the fraud?

Moving to "Google AdWords Discussion Forum".

Hi all

I contacted Google about this... and while you can't specifically block an IP address - they have a system in place where invalid clicks are logged (they judge this based on frequency of clicks from one machine) and they dont charge you.

And it looks like it works too as their figures on competition clicking match mine!

So as usual, Google have thought of almost everything!!
