Click fraud that wasn't...

Today for the first time in the 7 months that I've been using Adsense, I noticed a click that did not have any associated earnings.

I used the registered version of asRep to verify the following:

1) It was indeed a paying ad (as opposed to a PSA). It was an ad that I was previously paid for. (Besides I don't have any PSAs on my site whatsoever).

2) The IP address of the individual who generated the click was not mine (ruling out an accidental click).

So it would seem that Google has deemed this click to be an invalid click. I'm kind of wondering what I should do about this (if anything). I'm also wondering if there is something I've overlooked that would have produced this discrepancy.

Any comment would be appreciated.

Any system of verifying click authenticity short of an actual person tediously reviewing and approving every click is not going to be perfect and have some false positives.

Google has already taken into account these false positives and are reflected in the final cost and payout for your clicks.

Pursuing a single click "mistake" seem a little counter productive.

Hmmmm... Interesting. That's the first time I've heard anything like that. Can you possibly direct me to some official documentation that describes this in more detail?

I don't have any actual documentation of this but I think it's safe to assume that a company of their(Google) innovation and integrity have all the angles covered.
