I have been running adwords for a couple of years and have always disliked the keyword statuses: active, in trial, disabled etc. I find it very odd though the new system went into effect yesterday and our adwords expense jumped 250%. Nope, I didnt reactivate any old keywords either.

Positives:
I was virtually impossible to get any keyword active once it had been disabled at any point. So now this system is much better.

Negatives:
Without re-enabling any disbaled keywords I see a huge increase in daily expenses, I assume the main reason is others who had the words disabled are now allowed back in the pool after increasing their bids dramatically.
