Hi Guys
we have a client who wants to put his free quote service into Google Adwords. Anyone here had any experience with this sort of project i.e the service provides a free quote and therefore on average what is the percentage of people who would enter their details for a free quote after clicking on his ad? |

I don't think there's any quick or obvious answer to the question.
For a start, it's going to depend on what the quote will be for. Then it's going to reflect the value of getting a quote (as opposed to simply ordering?) and how common/unusual/advisable the idea/sense of doing so happens to be. You need to know more about the salability of your client's idea before knowing whether AdWords are going to be of any use. Moreover, you'll get to know quite quickly whether the CTR is at least above the minimum 0.5% and subsequently find out that, even if it's hitting 2%, 3%, or even higher, there's also the need for getting sufficient conversions (i.e. ROI) from the clicks. The one consoling thought is that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to let Adwords to tell you all this. Duncan
