Default track adword campaign

Hi all,
I am thinking about setting up an adword account but I need to know how to track the effectiveness of it.
Bascially, I want to know how many people sign up with our newsletter from the adword traffics.
Here is the page I want to direct my adword traffics to:
http://www.marketthoughts.com/dow_theory.html
I am thinking the most straight forward way to make a duplicate page of it with a different name only accessible from Adword so I can track it and then then also make a duplicate page of the sign-up page with a different name also:
http://www.marketthoughts.com/free_subscription.html
Does this seem stupid?
Is there a better way of doing this?
Or does Adword already have support?
Thanks.

Adwords has you covered.

They have a conversion tool which you set up on the newsletter sign-up confirmation page and entry page (cookie thing) it will tell you how many of the users who clicked to your site from an Adword then went on to sign-up for the newsletter.

Good luck wih Adword some of my clients find it a brilliant ROI
