All of my sites average about a 1.5% click-through rate with Adsense. None of my sites do better than 5%. However, my wife (who only knows basic HTML code) made a website for sh*ts and giggles at http://www.dietplans4u.org. I decided to put an Adsense channel on the site, and this month it's achieved 251 click-throughs on 1,030 page impressions. That's a whopping 24.4% click-through rate!!!
I'm flabergasted, and I'm actually worried that it's TOO HIGH, and that Google will become suspicious of click fraud. Anyway, I was wondering if people experience higher click-through rates on crappier sites? My new theory is that when people go to a site and they don't find what they are looking for, they are more likely to click on Adsense. Any other ideas? Thanks.

You probably want to use Asrep to monitor your Adsense, this way you'll be able to determine if it's the same computer systems clicking the ads. This way, you'll know about it and be able to report it to Google, before Google reports it to you, if you know what I mean.

Looked at your two sites compared to your wife's, and her Ads are up at the top; where as yours are very low on the page.
Just with the placement, she should be getting a higher CTR. Obviously, a 24.4% CTR is ridiculously high and it would be wise to check into this, just in case.
