Hello forum partners.. I need a little help understanding why I get a lot of bogus personal info when using google Adwords service.. My best guess is 50% of the prospects who click through to my landing page give me false info IE: wrong email address, phone number not in service etc, I asked google about this and they said it had to do with the ads I was writing and if I worded my ads to reflect that "If you click my ad you will be asked to fill in a form" that this tactic on my part would cut down on the bogus info.. Personally I just cannot see it.. So with my limited knowlege I come to you all for help..
What do you think? What can I do to draw more truthful info from those who fill in my form at my landing page? |

Well you surely need to be very crisp and precise with your adword ads otherwise it's just a waste of money. maybe if we could see the landing page we would be able to comment on this topic better. In any case you do need to tell the users what you are all about & I hope you have a well writen description of the sevice you are offering on the landing page. I read somewhere "You have 13 seconds after the person lands on your website to prove that they are at the right place" ;)

I think your problem is a simple one. Your site doesn't tell people anything like enough about what you are, what you do, or what you're offering.
Just a vague "come on" phrase TakeIt2TheBank isn't likely to inspire much confidence. At best, it's going to arouse no more than curiosity. At worst, it's going to get people to provide you with misinformation just to see what happens. I'm sure you're well intentioned, but, despite your claim (and I'm sure it's an honest and justified one) that you can help people make money from home, you need to do a far, far better job of selling your proposition. It's perhaps not a perfect analogy, but your site is presently nothing more than a "blind ad" and is most unlikely to attract many serious enquiries. Duncan

I tend to agree that if people who land on your site do not trust that the offer is legit they will provide false info to get more info themselves without the risk of being hassled or having their personal information distributed. Is it possible to make the page they land on from the ad strictly informational and only require log-in for further access to the site?
