I am operating a website in China. In order to promote this site to our desired customers, we have taken the compagin of google adwords about 11 months. However, the effects of this seems not so good. We are puzzled why we don't achieve good effects.
Our website is selling dancewear/dance shoes. Our target customers are in Australia, UK, the USA, and singapore. Most of our customers are dancewear store owners or dance school owners. We just like kind of wholesale website. I would very much interested to know when we should set the time for those countries? Is good to set 4 - 10 pm for Australia,UK, and USA in working days? How about a whole day for weekends? |

Just advertising a website via AdWords is not enough. You have to make sure of many things...
1. Is your website appealing to visitors. 2. What's the bounce rate? 3. Other ad's on the site, distractions? 4. Best to monitor the website with live chat so you can see the impact of the ad's, where they are going and doing. I use a great one that tells me many things at once. 5. Returning visits, do they come back? 6. Loading times, images and quality. 7. What is your competition doing.. use SpyFu to see. What is the url? PM it to me if you like. Maybe there're are some unknown issues.

Impossible to figure out why adwords isn't performing withoiut providing more info. I would start with targeting, assuming, you aren't an SEO or have good knowledge of keyword marketing. Almost every in-house campaign I look at... that is the most glaring problem. You are also doing wholesale by the looks of it and I haven't seen that do well with PPC. All our efforts were bad. However, targeted to wholesale vendor sites in the content network it did better. Ask your google rep for a list. If you will budget $200 a day not spend they will even do the research to find the sites.

Can you show us the site? It would help determine what's going on. I doubt time of day ad display is your biggest problem. Adwords is tricky business for those that are fairly new to it.
I like to turn off many ads between 12pm and 6am in the USA but that is very dependant on the site, product, and demographic...and lots of testing and analytics review. |

Sounds like your jumping right in at the deep end trying to do 4 countries at a time and your not sure about the time difference. I would start with making sure your adverts are correctly targeted at the right market, its so easy to think you have the right ideas but without the proper research what you think others do and what they actually do is often very different.
Let us all know what the site is, People give a lot of good advice on this forum!

Yes, taking a look on your website would help.
If you're still here, could you pls provide us with: 1. Your website link 2. Your bounce rate - How many orders you get per a number of users visiting your site? Other info may be also useful. If your stats are able to track the user actions on the site, try to see, which page are they leaving from? If it is the home page or the page they are entering the website (the "landing page") - then the problem may be in design/layout/accessibility and related features. If the user visits a few pages and then leaves, the problem may be found with other things - like prices, goods display issues, terms, etc.... That type of analysis may be extremely useful =) |
