Default Two Campaigns - Same Keywords - Different Geo Targeting

Hi,

I was just curious to know whether it is possible to have two different campaigns with same ad groups, keywords and ads but targeting different locations.

Reason why I want to have a setup like that is I learned that keywords targeting North America, most importantly the US are costlier than the one targeting Europe and Asian markets.

So, I was planning to have one campaign target the US market while another market target Europe and Asian market but have the same ad groups and keywords.

Can anyone can educate me on this ??

No I think the OP meant replicating an existing campaign with the only difference being the targeted location...

You can have multiple Campaigns, with identical Ad Groups & Keywords, provided that you replicate the latter; multiple Campaigns cannot point to the same Ad Groups.

They can, however, share common Ads.

Yes you can have two separate campaigns with same ad groups, keywords, ads and different Geo Targeting.

I don't see the reason why this shouldn't be possible. As deepsand said, you'd have to replicate the campaign. Google has no restrictions within campaigns as long as they don't overlap.
Another suggestion I would add if you want to make this geographical distinction between the two campaigns is to disable the Google's "Content Network" option for both campaigns. This way, result would more accurately be geographically distinguished.
Hope It Helps

If you want to try how content work out for you, you can also create a 3rd campaign, put google bids at 0.01 and disable search partners. Then enable content an point to a tracked destination page. Then you can check if you have got any sale from content.

You may also create a 4th campaign to test placement...

you can (and sometimes it makes sense to) have different campaigns with different geo targets that have same keywords. for one of my clients, we have set up 50 set campaigns (one for each state) and used same keywords (but varied the ads to have the state name in each ad). it's been very successful/
