I'm a little behind the times when it comes to video.

Can someone give me a little insight into how they created this video debate/interview.

Web interview over computers?

What software is used to "stitch" the two videos together, or create the vdieo at all for that matter?

One thing I really like is the video(s) are running exceptionally smooth on my laptop compared to other videos I watch.

It's just two videos made into one video file then converted to fla using ffmpeg or flv. That might help a bit... I suppose the just recorded the 2 videos seperatly.
