Default Flash Chat Room?

Hi,
I've heard that Flash Chat is a good way to go...But I haven't found any impressive flash chat rooms. Does anyone know of any?
Respectfully,
David.

When you say Flash Chat...I assume you mean a chat room built using Flash Communication server (if I'm wrong...ignore this).

I played with Flash Comm for a while...use it a little for small video chat. I think it has a lot of problems. For example...the entire chat history shows when someone enters a room. Even days later.
Not easy to clear it.

I haven't played with it for a while...I'm sure there are new components...maybe some of this has been solved.

esiegel,
I have looked into Flash Comm Server. Is it really worth the value? I mean, $500.00 seems an aweful lot of money for something that can be done through a core programming language.

Sure...anything can be done if you are a programmer...well...almost anything. But think about it...can you program a server that can handle multiple connections for multiple video/voice/shared object applications...for under $500...what is your time worth. Of course you still have to build the front ends (client apps) in Flash...but with components, that happens fairly easily. Depending on your needs, applications can be up and running in minutes....or days...or weeks for something large.

Is it worth it? Depends on what you are trying to do.
