Default avi's

Can you load an avi as an independent source into a movieclip placeholder on the stage. Is so, what is the script? Thanks

Sorry for just posting a link, but I found this helpful. Let me know if you need more info :-)

PS, It seems that only Quicktime movies can be imported on runtime, but you should be able to find software that can easily convert your movie to Quicktime format...

You can place linked or imported .AVI and .mov files into your library for your Flash movies.

To import, just do it the same way as you would with any other imported file. With linked, create a new symbol through the library, in the linkage box, click in the box "Import for runtime sharing" THen add the external link. This should allow you to have a linked movie show in your library that you can than load to your movie.

I recommend importing it, as you can use Flashes compression technology to make the video files sizes smaller.
