Default is firefox not 100% flash compatible?

Hi everyone,

I was reviewing a site I designed today and started checking it in firefox only to realize that the flash that works in internet explorer doesn't work in firefox.

The website is http://www.elgenlong.com/

Can someone explain what I did wrong here? Thanks.

Justin

I guess you have not installed the Firefox Flash plugin. I had no problems viewing it with Firefox.

ok, then here's a new question: there's javascript in the web page that's designed to detect if there's a flash plugin installed or not. Why wouldn't it work? i know it detects in internet explorer, but why wouldn't it work in firefox?

on my computer (and my client's computer) the images in the animation were visible, but all of the text was not, and if the images are visible, then shouldn't that already mean that the flash plugin is installed?

You have to remember that Javascript is different for IE and everybody else.
