Hi.
Novice flash person here. I have a 2 minute video recorded on my Nokia phone. I used ImTooavi free program to convert it from 3gpp into .avi. The resulting file is large, but works in WinAMP and Windows Media Player. When I try to import it into Flash, the video does not work. I just get a black box. I can play it, and only the audio works, no pictures. I've tried exporting to flv, but the same thing happens. Any tips? |

I bit the bullet and bought Quicktime Pro, and decided to use .mov instead of Flash.
But the file size is still quite large. The native file, as downloaded from my phone as a 3gpp was 481kb. When converted thru Quicktime, I experimented with different qualities, and streaming options and got a) fast-start streaming (audio too quiet, 690kb) b) low-quality (almost ok, but 1080kb) c) medium-quality (bigger picture, tho seemed quieter, 2014kb) I tried importing the medium quality Quicktime file into Flash, and exporting as a FLV, but still got a filesize of 2241kb. These are all a little large for a webpage. Any suggestions? |
