FLV problems

Hi I am having a problem and new to Flash/video
- trying to put some flash video into a web page and thought maybe someone here could help.

the original was an avi file - then I encoded it into a flash video file (FLV) the audio was great but the video was blank.

I re-rendered it in After Effects into an uncompressed quicktime movie (downloaded the quicktime codex which I did not know that I was missing) and it looks and sounds ok as a .mov....
-- now when I encode this into a FLV file the audio is all choppy and screwed up but I do have video...
(also. cannot export from after effects as I do not own the latest update...yet)

Anybody out there able to give some advice?
