Skip Intro, please, I beg you

I've been saying it all along, and been ridiculed for it more than a few times, but splash/flash screens are dead.

At a recent AD:TECH conference, 579 people were surveyed to pick between a flash-intro site (A good one) and a plain HTML version. EIGHTY PERCENT chose the plain HTML version... and almost all of these folks had DSL or Cable connections. Thoughts to ponder.
